A Flawed and Beautifully Complex Human
I went a bit more abstract with this botanical painting of Queen Anne’s lace, allowing depths of color to be blocked out with the flowers but also the background. I wanted it to buzz with energy similar to the energy of a summer night when the light glows as it gets dark. There are also 3 distinct pattern groupings that I connected with the background to create a whole. This is my way of exploring having different aspects to myself that are on their own but together make me who I am.
